Morristown Lux Doors® is a Green Star Partner

Clayton Morristown Lux Doors® in Morristown, Tennessee has been welcomed as a Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) Green Star Partner, the first Clayton Supply® facility to receive this recognition.

The Tennessee Green Star Partnership is an environmental leadership program that recognizes manufacturers across the state committed to sustainability. To become a member, a facility must operate under an ISO® 14001 certification and have a minimum of three years of exceptional environmental compliance with TDEC.

Clayton Morristown Lux Doors is the primary manufacturer of interior doors installed in the modern manufactured homes constructed by Clayton Home Building Group®. They recently began manufacturing exterior doors as well.

The Morristown facility achieved an average 85% landfill diversion for 2024 and by the end of 2025 aspires to have a zero-waste-to-landfill designation.

One example of the facility’s environmentally friendly business practices is their partnership with a service that takes the approximately 100 tons of sawdust Morristown Lux Doors generates each month to use for kitty litter and spill kits. Other sustainable practices have resulted in reducing landfilled waste generation by 50% and water consumption by 20% since 2021.
