Doing good in our communities

Do good

Do good

Our commitment to Do good is at the heart of our Clayton Impact® program, which provides team members volunteer paid time off to serve others. More than 10,000 Clayton Home Building Group® team members volunteered over 61,000 hours in 2023, creating meaningful differences in our communities. And our national footprint allows us to make significant, localized impacts across the country.

Volunteerism inspires us to give even more. And often, the impact we create inspires others to give of themselves, setting off a chain reaction of service. The giving of time and effort to someone in need also provides us an opportunity to reflect on our own lives with gratitude for what we have.

Serving the community

Serving the community

Serving the communities in which our team members live and work is a cornerstone of Clayton's mission to Do good.

Team Members from Clayton Rutledge and Clayton Bean Station recently served nearly 600 families at a drive-thru food pantry in partnership with Compassion Ministries and Mission of Hope. In addition, Walgreens provided free vaccinations, United Healthcare shared information on insurance plans and Save the Babies provided formula, diapers and wipes for parents in need.

Coming together for good

Coming together for good

When Kentucky experienced widespread flooding that left 25,000 Kentuckians without power, team members at Clayton Appalachia, TRU Halls, Supply Morristown I, Supply Morristown II, TRU White Pine, Supply Crossville, Bean Station, Halls, Oxford, Rockwell, Giles and Hamilton were quick to respond.

They collected building materials and windows, food, clothes and personal care item donations, loaded them into a rental truck and drove to Kentucky to assist. They also volunteered at foodbanks while there to support impacted homeowners and first responders.

Tree planting project

Tree planting project

In partnership with the Alabama Forestry Commission, Clayton Buccaneer committed to planting 700 native trees. 96 trees were planted at the Buccaneer facility, while over 100 participating team members planted the rest on their own properties.

Reflecting our commitment to the environment, Clayton has partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation® to plant 4.47 million trees by 2025.
