The Clayton Home Building Group® internship program: transforming ambition into achievement.

    Summer Internship Program

Clayton Home Building Group offers a 12-week summer internship program that gives our interns an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in real-world scenarios and gain hands-on experience through impactful projects. By immersing interns in our company culture, we aim to foster their professional growth, enhance their skills and prepare them for successful careers post-graduation.

    Our Purpose

The goal of our internship program is to build a strong foundation for professional excellence through hands-on projects, dedicated mentorship and full immersion into Clayton's culture.

    Internship benefits

Two Clayton interns enjoy a visit to a facility.

Our interns will benefit from guidance not only from their direct managers but also from an appointed mentor, their fellow team members and our organization's top leadership. This tiered mentorship approach allows our interns to develop a comprehensive understanding of our industry, gain diverse perspectives and build meaningful professional relationships that support their growth and career aspirations.

Our internship program is structured to support seamless transitions into part-time and full-time roles, with 67% of the 2024 intern cohort successfully moving into permanent positions within the Clayton organization.
