    Clayton Home Building Group’s career development programs provide opportunities for high-performing individuals to develop into strong professionals by combining business strategy with technical, experiential training. Through coaching, mentoring and on-the-job training, you’ll develop action-oriented leadership skills that will open doors to further your career in Clayton Home Building Group.

    Management Development Program

    During this 18-24 month program, you’ll partner with other internal team members, tapping into a vast pool of resources and gaining technical and institutional knowledge. You’ll be exposed to a wide variety of skill areas including quality assurance, materials and procurement, production, manufacturing, sales, health and safety, and much more.

    Primary responsibilities:

    • Observe and assist team members to gain knowledge about processes, procedures, and standards

    • Complete the structured training program while rotating through assignments in the manufacturing process

    • Actively participate in MDP meetings to develop and refine the curriculum

    • Submit written executive summaries to senior leadership upon completion of each phase of the program

    Internship Program

    This 12-week program prepares students for an innovative, purpose-driven career. You’ll gain exposure to manufacturing and operating processes within your selected track, with broad exposure to our company and industry. You’ll experience collaborative innovation while dedicated to an impactful project and learn from leaders in the home building industry.

    Primary responsibilities:

    • Impact real-world outcomes on a Clayton Home Building Group project in an area of interest

    • Contribute to company initiatives through various functional roles

    • Observe and gain knowledge of Clayton Home Building Group and our industry

    • Interact regularly with project stakeholders and meet with cross-functional team members to learn best practices

    • Present project results and findings to Clayton Home Building Group leadership and your project sponsor
