Clayton Giles Home Building Facility is Now a Green Star Partner

Clayton Giles of New Tazewell was recently welcomed as the newest member of the Tennessee Green Star Partnership, a Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) environmental leadership program that recognizes manufacturers across the state committed to sustainability.

“We are proud to have Clayton Giles as our newest Tennessee Green Star Partnership member,” said TDEC Commissioner David Salyers. “The business is environmentally responsible and is setting an example for others. It is very worthy of this recognition.”

Clayton is committed to driving change through sustainability efforts, and Clayton Giles, an ISO® 14001:2015-certified homebuilding facility, is doing just that. In the seven years since becoming ISO certified, the facility has reduced the amount of waste generated per home built by an incredible 77 percent.

Additionally, between 2020 and 2022, Clayton Giles experienced a 200 percent increase in recycled materials and decreased water consumption by 283,000 gallons, representing a 35 percent reduction in 2022.

Clayton Giles joins facilities Clayton Savannah, Clayton Rutledge, Clayton Bean Station, and TRU White Pine in this respected partnership.
